Where we will be in February 2014

Hampshire Energy is committed to working with local stakeholders to inform them of the benefits for community energy, how it can benefit local communities, and provide a positive impact to our county.

On Wednesday 12th February, we will be attending the Chamber of Commerce event at Winchester Science Centre to talk with local businesses about the importance of Bullington Cross Wind Farm.

During that week, the University of Winchester’s Green Week takes place, and on Thursday 13th February we will be there to discuss with students the importance of local, community energy.

We continue to visit educational establishments, with a trip to Southampton University on Saturday 15th February for their Sustainability Festival, with our spokesperson Martin Heath presenting to the hub about how it’s possible to make community energy a reality in our county.

Later in the month, we will be attending the Local Enterprise Partnership’s Working for a Sustainable Future event, to help build awareness of the opportunities offered by community energy.

If you’re aware of any events taking place in the local or regional area, or would like us to attend your event to discuss community energy, please get in touch with the office by emailing info@hampshire-energy.coop.
